THE CLIENT.

A political figure who was very active in the #iodicono campaign of the 2016 Referendum, contacted us in order to get the pulse of the situation online, alongside exit polls on voter interviews, wanting to monitor and understand his political reputation and of the referendum he was taking part in. (Learn more about reputation monitoring here!)

STARTING OBJECTIVES

He had many questions about this and in particular asked us to understand some specific points:

  • How visible was the NO campaign compared to the YES campaign?
  • How much did people talk about him and the other politicians on the same side?
  • What were people talking about and what was the sentiment?

MARKET RESEARCH AND COLLECTED DATA

Therefore, we conducted research
monitoring conversations on the topic of interest continuously throughout the duration of the campaign.

Every week we would send them an update report with all the data collected from the network’s listening monitoring and specifically:

  • the topics discussed in recent days,
  • sentiment about his party’s politicians and opposing politicians
  • and also, a summary of the situation between “no” and “yes.”

ACHIEVEMENTS ON POLITICAL REPUTATION

Through these weekly reports, the politician was able to achieve his goal: he was able to have his finger on the pulse of online public opinion and heated issues, as well as
insight into the campaign as a whole and its reputation.

And you know what? At the end of the day, the visibility of NO that we had detected was actually 75% versus 25% of YES… which was actually verified by the results of the Referendum!
