One of Italy’s leading marketing agencies called us for a really fun survey: they wanted to investigate the reputation of some children’s TV characters.

STARTING OBJECTIVES

The agency was following the promotion of a children’s television channel, and the client wanted to understand which characters received the most attention from the audience.

Therefore, the primary goal was to answer some very specific questions:

  • Which characters were most talked about online?
  • What was said about them?
  • How well were they able to engage people?

MARKET RESEARCH AND COLLECTED DATA

The research was developed, therefore, with a focus on to network listening. In fact, through social listening tools, it was possible to intercept online conversations about each character indicated in the previous 12 months. Once the mentions were collected, our agents meticulously checked the sentiment of each one so that they could accurately assess
the online reputation of each character

Having identified, then, the most mentioned and the least liked characters, we went on to study the results obtained by each of them on their social channels, in order to be able to obtain feedback by comparing the data collected.

RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE CHARACTER REPUTATION SURVEY

In conclusion: the survey conducted identified the characters most liked by the public.

In addition, the word-of-mouth comparison and the results of each character obtained online allowed the agency to discover the strengths and weaknesses of each of them, thus understanding what they needed to work on.
